Casting Directors agree that all actors should be able to cold read. Strengthening cold reading skills allows the actor to pick up the piece of material and make strong character choices, emotional choices, and get off the page quickly, which allows actors to focus on their partner to create an authentic moment.
I invite active casting directors to class from time to time. They work with you, giving advice. It makes it so much easier when you meet them in "the room" for an actual audition. Brette Goldstein and Judy Bowman were guests a short while ago.
Judy Keller is another favorite Casting Director who gives incredible advice. Class size is small which allows more one-on-one time. We use sides/scenes from projects currently being cast. Our goal is to prepare you for auditions and to help you book the job!
